Meet the Team

We will be periodically profiling different members of our team to help you get to know the different resources we have and their backgrounds and skills. This period we are profiling different employees from our business consulting team:
Dr Mona Jazayeri – Business Consultant, PhD, BS
		Mona has worked as a business consultant with Portford Solutions since 2008. She has a PhD in Tumor Biology from the University of London, focused on cellular mechanisms of metastasis. Prior to that, she worked as a biomedical researcher for five years. Mona has a BS in Biology from the University of California San Diego (UCSD). Due to her medical experience, Mona has particular skill in understanding the specific challenges relevant to content creation and management in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical industries.
Sam Gramlich – Managing Consultant, MBA, BA
		Sam has led the Business and Technical consulting teams at Portford Solutions for the last two years, and worked at Portford Solutions since 2005. He has an MBA from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) with concentrations in Consulting and International Business, and more than 15 years experience in technology, technology management, and content management. Before joining Portford Solutions, Sam worked as a capital project financial analyst at Southern California Edison. Sam currently focuses on system implementation management and clinical computer system validation strategy. He also holds a BA in Physics from Walla Walla College.
Brett Boyd – Senior Business Consultant, MBA, BS
		Brett enjoys applying his technical, business, scientific and legal backgrounds to computer system validations for special projects. He joined Portford Solutions in 2005.  Brett earned a MBA from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and a BS in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He also studied life science and healthcare from a European perspective while at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria), Maastricht University (Holland), and the University of Strathclyde (Scotland). All told, Brett has over 9 years of professional experience working in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics industry. Brett is also a Certified Biomedical Auditor, a qualification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
Ryane Kanda – Senior Business Consultant, MBA, BS
		Ryane leads the electronic Data Capture and clinical system validation group. Ryane joined Portford Solutions in 2006.  He has an MBA from the University of Southern California (USC) and a BS in biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).  Ryane has 12 years experience in the biomedical and pharmaceutical industry, where he has held increasing challenging consulting and management roles.
Tim Northup - Business Consultant, BS
		Tim joined the Portford Solutions Business Consulting team in 2008. He has a BS in Mathematics from California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo. Tim focuses on system and functional requirement design and validation, and has a talent for rational and optimized business process designs, including facilitation of user requirement development.
