DocuNECT™ is
an electronic document capture and management solution that allows seamless
capture of any content to an
organization’s document management system.

By using
DocuNECT's
desktop capture
or
automated capture
products,
documents can be captured from multiple locations. Business data
can be extracted from documents by using
desktop indexing,
or
automatic indexing
methods.
Documents can then be
distributed
to third party document management application.
In addition, custom
plug-ins called ContentConnectors can be developed to perform a
specific task. Each ContentConnector can be individually
configured and can be scheduled on a periodic basis.
Portford has produced a library of predefined
ContentConnectors and will continue to develop
ContentConnectors based on the needs of the market and the
specific needs of customers. For more information on which

Each
ContentConnector is developed and subsequently added into
DocuNECT™
via an Administration module to be run on a set
frequency. The frequency either polls on a regular basis or can
be scheduled on a daily basis. ContentConnectors can be
bi-directional, and provide the ability to import content into,
or out of, the target document management system. The
Administration module also provides the ability to monitor
server activity and
ContentConnector
audit trails.
